This PLP is to meet requirements for my MHST 624-Teaching in Health Disciplines course as I work towards my Master of Health Studies with a teaching focus. This site will provide information about myself, my education and experiences in teaching and education through blog posts and website content.

A little bit about me:

My name is Angela Roy  and I am a registered nurse In Ontario and have spent most of my 16 year career working in Public Health.  I was born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario located about 15 minutes away from Niagara Falls.  Working as a public health nurse has allowed me to combine two of my favourite things- nursing and  teaching to help improve my community. My current role is within the Nurse Family Partnership Program which helps young first time moms  prenatally up until their baby turns two years of age.  The program focuses on prenatal care, early childhood development and attachment.
